Update: As the BSNL DataOne's website has undergone drastic changes, the current version of chkdataone does not work. I'm working on a modified version. Details will be updated soon!

The chkdataone program automates the process of calculating
Internet usage charges and approximate billing information for
subscribers of BSNL DataOne broadband Internet connection.

You no longer need to rely on using the Internet Explorer web browser
just to access BSNL DataOne's website - infact, you'll never need to use any web browser to gather your usage statistics summary and calculate the approximate charges for internet usage from the BSNL DataOne website. This program automates it all task for you.

To install this program, perform the following steps:

• Download the archive file chkdataone-2006-1.tar.gz and save it to your home directory.
• Extract the archive by running the following command:
      tar xvzf chkdataone-2006-1.tar.gz
  
  Extracting the archive will create two text files - README, LICENSE and an executable program by name chkdataone.
• Open the README file from any text file viewer read the installation instructions and the pre-requisites to know how to use this program.
• If you are lazy like me, you can directly run chkdataone -h | less or ./chkdataone -h | less to get started. If you encounter any errors, go through the README file and look for the Pre-requisites section to get a clue.
